Some of our activities

Bulbs for the Blind

Every Year we take out hyacinth bulbs to the blind in our community. We send hyacinths because of their intense perfume, which blind people can appreciate, if they can't see the flowers.

The Boundary Walk, Run & Pike Hike

which takes place each spring takes quite a bit of organising but is well supported and a good fund raiser for local charities.

Shelter boxes

These are large boxes containing a tent and the basic essentials for surviving disasters like earthquakes, tsunamis etc.

Support Local Organisations

Social events

“Rotary is Fun” and we hold a number of social events during the year.

An different local environmental project each year.

Stewarding at the Todmorden Agricultural Show and Todmorden Country Fair.

"Two Wheeled Tod"

Come and Join Us

Prospective new members and visitors are always welcome to come along to a meeting.

What is Rotary?

Rotary is an international organisation of business and professional people who provide a humanitarian service. There are 1.2 million Rotarians in 31,000 clubs in 144 countries.

We support may good causes locally, nationally and internationally.

What are the commitments?

Full Membership:

We meet once a week at the Shepherd’s Rest for a meal which is followed by reports from the various committee chairmen. This is usually followed by a speaker.

We are expected to support what events we can and to join either the International of Community & Vocational committee. Of course family and work commitments must come first.

Associate Membership

Associate membership is for people who share our Rotary ideals and would like to get involved when they can but who are unable to make a weekly meeting.

Still Interested?

Then contact any rotarian or telephone 01706 813091. Membership is subject to the approval of the members.
